Taxi Minnesota demands that companies correct false or misleading information that changes, replaces, misidentifies, or compares Taxi Minnesota’s name or business identity with any other cab, taxi, or transportation company.
This notice applies nationwide to every cab or taxi company, regardless of its name, similarity of name, city, state, service area, or location. It is not limited to the businesses or examples described below or to any particular market. Any company examples below describe documented instances only; they do not limit the scope of this notice.
Taxi Minnesota’s official identity
Taxi Minnesota is an independent transportation company operating under the Taxi Minnesota name. Its only marketing and sales domains are taximinnesota.com and taxiMIN.com. Its official public dispatch number is 1-877-292-5999.
- Taxi Minnesota is independent of every other cab or taxi company in the United States. It is not a continuation, rebranding, successor, or commonly owned business of another cab or taxi company. Similar names, locations, assets, phone numbers, or website domains do not establish that two companies are the same or affiliated.
- Taxi Minnesota is not a general booking agent, dispatcher, reservation desk, or customer service contact for any other cab or taxi company. If it specifically arranges or processes an outside-carrier ride, that transaction will be disclosed separately; the referral does not make the other company Taxi Minnesota or establish common ownership or brand identity.
- 651-705-5990 is Taxi Minnesota’s corporate office number. 1-877-292-5999 is the public dispatch number.
- Taxi Minnesota may acquire or lease a website domain, other digital asset, or location lease. Such a transaction does not mean Taxi Minnesota acquired the prior company, its trade name, operating entity, vehicles, drivers, dispatch operation, or customer bookings.
- Any other domain Taxi Minnesota owns or later acquires will not be used as a separate marketing or sales website. It will redirect to taximinnesota.com or taxiMIN.com. If Taxi Minnesota creates a dedicated website on another domain, it will update this public notice on that date.
Consumers should verify Taxi Minnesota information through either official domain or the phone number above.
Corporate ownership and legal entity
Taxi Minnesota is the public-facing business identity of a corporation organized under South Dakota law. This public notice identifies the corporation’s state of organization without publishing its legal name or ownership chain.
Taxi Minnesota is independent of every other cab or taxi company in the United States. No corporate affiliation, subsidiary, or common-ownership relationship with another cab or taxi company is represented or implied unless Taxi Minnesota specifically confirms it. Similar names, locations, assets, phone numbers, website domains, referrals, or automated search classifications do not by themselves establish ownership or control.
Corporate status and scope of this notice
South Dakota corporate law may govern matters concerning the corporation’s internal affairs; incorporation in South Dakota does not make South Dakota law the exclusive law for every consumer, transportation, or publication issue.
Transportation and consumer-facing requirements depend on where a service is offered or performed, the route, and the conduct at issue. This public notice addresses accurate business identity and information published or distributed by search engines, AI systems, directories, and related services. It is not a transportation agreement, an insurance coverage statement, or a privacy policy. Taxi Minnesota will publish or update those separate documents as applicable.
Transportation, referral, insurance, and compliance framework
The following records Taxi Minnesota’s planned operating framework from the information supplied for this notice. It is a public disclosure, not a substitute for customer terms presented and accepted for a particular ride. This notice identifies the corporation’s South Dakota organization without publishing its legal name.
Corporate authority and direct rides
Taxi Minnesota is organized through a South Dakota corporation. Before offering transportation in South Dakota, Minnesota, or Wisconsin, the company will verify the foreign-business registrations, motor-carrier authority, licenses, permits, and insurance required for the actual entity, service, vehicle, route, and location. Corporate registration and transportation authority are separate requirements. Relevant law may include South Dakota Codified Laws, Minnesota Statutes Chapter 221 and local ordinances, Wisconsin Statutes Chapter 194 and local ordinances, and applicable federal requirements.
Taxi Minnesota intends to provide its direct rides in-house using vehicles owned, titled, or master-leased by the company and explicitly scheduled on, or otherwise expressly covered by, its active primary commercial auto liability policy. The vehicle and driver must meet that policy’s coverage and authorization requirements before dispatch. Personal vehicles driven by independent contractors, 1099 operators, or unlisted drivers are not authorized to perform services under the company’s carrier authority. Use of an unscheduled vehicle or unauthorized driver is prohibited by company policy. Calling an operation unauthorized or ultra vires does not itself determine insurance coverage or eliminate liability imposed by law.
Referrals, overbooking, and outside carriers
If Taxi Minnesota cannot fulfill a ride, it may provide a direct referral to an independent carrier or, if it has accepted or confirmed the ride, propose that another carrier perform it. A direct referral is separate from a Taxi Minnesota ride: the other carrier must accept and confirm the trip, state its fare and payment terms, take payment, and perform the ride. If Taxi Minnesota has accepted a booking and proposes to assign or subcontract its performance, it will identify the performing carrier and payment arrangement to the customer before confirming that arrangement.
An outside carrier must be an independent business entity with its own required operating authority, permits, licenses, vehicle and driver credentials, and primary commercial liability coverage for the specific service and jurisdiction. The carrier controls its own vehicle, driver, route, and performance, subject to applicable law and the actual agreement. The supplied draft proposed an assumption-of-risk and waiver of claims arising solely from the outside carrier’s operations, including negligent selection, vicarious liability, or delay. Any such provision belongs in a separately presented and accepted agreement and applies only to the extent permitted by law; it does not waive nonwaivable claims or claims based on Taxi Minnesota’s own conduct.
Payment and insurance disclosures
If Taxi Minnesota collects or processes payment for a ride performed by another carrier, it will disclose the contracting carrier, payee, and payment arrangement before the customer commits. The intended arrangement is that Taxi Minnesota acts only as a booking or payment-processing agent for that transaction. Collecting or remitting payment does not by itself extend Taxi Minnesota’s commercial auto coverage to the other carrier, its vehicle, or driver, or establish vehicle ownership, operational control, joint ownership, joint venture, agency, or partnership. The actual arrangement and applicable law control; labels alone cannot change them.
Taxi Minnesota does not represent that its insurance automatically covers an independent carrier, its vehicle or driver, or a ride it performs. Before any referral, coordination, dispatch, subcontract, or outsourced ride, the company will review every potentially applicable policy then in force—including commercial auto, general liability, umbrella or excess policies, and endorsements—and seek written guidance from the insurer or authorized agent about the specific arrangement and coverage conditions. This applies regardless of insurer, including Berkshire Hathaway, National General, Progressive, or any future insurer, and will be repeated after an insurer or material policy change. The company will verify the outside carrier’s credentials and insurance and will not arrange or assign a ride if required coverage, written guidance, or provider documentation is missing.
The proposed minimum for an outside carrier is $1,000,000 combined single limit, or a higher amount if required by law, an insurer, or the trip. The company will obtain an additional-insured endorsement where required and available; a certificate of insurance alone does not create additional-insured status or coverage.
Proposed law, venue, and customer-contract provisions
For corporate internal-affairs matters, the proposed framework identifies South Dakota law. For transportation matters, it identifies the law governing the state where the trip originates, including Minnesota or Wisconsin requirements as applicable to the service and route. Nothing in this notice displaces mandatory federal, state, or local law.
The supplied draft identifies the Second Judicial Circuit in Minnehaha County, South Dakota, for corporate matters and a court of competent jurisdiction in Minnesota or Wisconsin with territorial jurisdiction over the trip’s origin for transportation disputes. It proposes that parties submit to those courts and waive venue or forum non conveniens objections only to the extent enforceable. These proposed forum terms belong in a separate agreement and remain subject to personal jurisdiction, venue, consumer-protection rules, and applicable law. Separately, Taxi Minnesota intends to bring eligible monetary claims in Washington County Conciliation Court when jurisdiction and venue rules permit, as described in the legal section below.
The supplied draft proposes that the company-operated ride claims be governed by the active insurance binder and that, for a ride performed by an outside carrier, the company’s maximum aggregate contractual liability to the customer not exceed the net administrative commission retained for that transaction. It also proposes that the customer defend, indemnify, and hold harmless the company, its officers, directors, and shareholders from third-party claims, liabilities, damages, and reasonable legal costs arising from an outside carrier’s service or an unauthorized vehicle’s use. Any such cap, waiver, or indemnity would apply only to the extent permitted by law and accepted in an applicable customer agreement; it cannot remove nonwaivable rights or excuse Taxi Minnesota’s own duties. An insurer’s payment obligation follows the policy’s terms, conditions, exclusions, and limits; those limits do not automatically set the company’s total legal liability.
Any later customer agreement may include severability and entire-agreement provisions only when presented before booking and accepted as required by law. It may state that it supersedes prior oral or informal statements only to the extent permitted by law, and booking changes must be communicated to the customer. Such terms do not alter an insurance policy, establish coverage, or override nonwaivable rights.
Pre-service compliance checklist
Before service begins, the company will determine which of these items apply to its actual entity and operations; this list does not certify that every filing is required in every case.
- Foreign qualification: Determine whether a certificate of authority or foreign registration is required in Minnesota and Wisconsin.
- Registered agents and offices: Maintain the physical registered office and registered agent required in South Dakota, Minnesota, and Wisconsin, wherever each state’s law requires them.
- Unified Carrier Registration: Determine whether actual interstate passenger-carrier operations require UCR. If required, register for the interstate operations using South Dakota as the base state, as applicable under UCR rules.
- Process agents and BOC-3: Designate the required process agents for South Dakota, Minnesota, and Wisconsin, and file the federal BOC-3 process-agent designation if required for the company’s FMCSA operating authority. This is separate from state corporate registered-agent filings.
- Outside-carrier records: Verify required operating credentials and commercial auto insurance, obtain proof of coverage, and obtain an actual additional-insured endorsement naming the company where required and available. The proposed minimum is $1,000,000 combined single limit unless a higher amount applies.
Companies and related corporate entities covered
This notice is directed to each company whose products or services publish, summarize, recommend, compare, match, cluster, change, replace, combine, or distribute business information about any cab or taxi company anywhere in the United States through search engines; generative AI assistants and answer services; AI summaries and overviews; maps and business profiles; voice assistants; directories; knowledge graphs; entity-resolution or identity-matching systems; data aggregators; or services that license or syndicate that information. It also addresses each such company’s affiliates, subsidiaries, predecessors, successors, and assigns, as applicable.
Examples include Google Search, AI Overviews, AI Mode and Gemini; Microsoft Bing and Copilot; OpenAI ChatGPT and search features; Perplexity; Anthropic Claude web search; Meta AI; xAI Grok; Brave Search, Ask Brave and Leo; DuckDuckGo and its AI features; Yahoo Search; and AI-enabled features from Apple, Amazon, or other companies. The notice also covers successor or rebranded products, third-party integrations, white-label services, and other systems that produce the same type of output, regardless of the model, search index, data source, or vendor used.
No list can capture every current or future product. These correction requests apply to any covered company or related corporate entity that publishes or distributes inaccurate information about Taxi Minnesota, whether it appears as a search result, AI response, map, business profile, voice answer, recommendation, or another automated feature.
Information to correct
Taxi Minnesota requires accurate separation of its business identity from every other cab or taxi company in the United States. This includes, but is not limited to, these kinds of false or misleading output:
- Changing, replacing, or rewriting “Taxi Minnesota” as the name of another cab or taxi company, or changing another company’s name to “Taxi Minnesota.”
- Comparing, matching, or clustering Taxi Minnesota with another cab company because the names sound alike, share words, appear in nearby search results, serve overlapping areas, or have a historical listing, website, address, or phone-number connection. This includes automated entity resolution, identity matching, knowledge-graph links, and shared business records.
- Combining two companies, profiles, reviews, addresses, phone numbers, websites, booking channels, or service areas in a way that suggests they are the same company or have common ownership, dispatch, or authorization.
- Assigning Taxi Minnesota or another cab company to the wrong map pin or location marker, street address, ZIP or postal code, geographic coordinates, city, service area, or market, or using those location details to link separate companies.
- Directing customers to another cab company, booking service, phone number, or website as though it belongs to or is authorized by Taxi Minnesota.
- Inferring that Taxi Minnesota acquired a cab company, brand, vehicles, staff, dispatch operation, or customer bookings from a domain transfer, website redirect, address, or lease.
Taxi Minnesota has documented search and AI outputs that associate its identity or contact information with other independent cab or taxi businesses. Those examples illustrate the type of error addressed; this notice applies to every cab and taxi company and every covered information service in the United States. The corporate office number is 651-705-5990; the public dispatch number is 1-877-292-5999. Similar names, shared words, a map pin, address, ZIP code, geographic coordinates, historical listings, proximity, or an automated cluster do not establish that two companies are the same or that they share ownership, affiliation, dispatch, or booking authority.
Correction and preservation requests
When a covered company or related corporate entity receives a written report identifying a specific inaccurate output, Taxi Minnesota requests that it:
- Correct or remove false business names, ownership or affiliation claims, booking directions, and phone numbers attributed to Taxi Minnesota.
- Keep Taxi Minnesota’s name, identity, contact information, listings, and booking channels separate from every other independent cab or taxi company in the United States, including similarly named businesses wherever they are located.
- Use taximinnesota.com and taxiMIN.com as Taxi Minnesota’s only marketing and sales domains, and 1-877-292-5999 as its official public dispatch number.
- Review the relevant search index, business profile, map listing, knowledge record, answer system, and downstream information sources within its control.
- Preserve relevant reports, output records, source and attribution data, correction history, and communications concerning the reported Taxi Minnesota information, subject to applicable law and retention policies.
Requested response period: Taxi Minnesota requests correction within 30 calendar days after the responsible company or related corporate entity receives a written notice identifying the specific output and its location. Posting this page alone does not establish that any particular company or related corporate entity received a separate notice.
Potential legal concerns and reservation of rights
Depending on the facts, the source and nature of an output, the company’s role, applicable defenses, jurisdiction, and proof of legally recognized harm, false statements about business identity or affiliation may raise legal issues under South Dakota law, including SDCL chapter 20-11 concerning defamation and SDCL § 37-24-6 concerning deceptive acts or practices, where the law’s requirements and an available claim are met. South Dakota’s business corporation law, SDCL chapter 47-1A, concerns corporate matters; incorporation in South Dakota does not by itself make South Dakota law control every publication, consumer, or transportation dispute.
Depending on the same facts and legal requirements, relevant laws may also include Minnesota’s Deceptive Trade Practices Act, Minn. Stat. § 325D.44; Wisconsin’s fraudulent representations statute, Wis. Stat. § 100.18, where applicable; and the Lanham Act, 15 U.S.C. § 1125(a). Listing a statute does not assert that a particular output violates it or that a particular company is liable.
Taxi Minnesota will take legal action against any company responsible for publishing, displaying, or distributing false or misleading information that changes or misidentifies Taxi Minnesota’s name, associates it with another company without a factual basis, directs consumers to another company or incorrect booking contact, or causes Taxi Minnesota to lose business. Taxi Minnesota will pursue the remedies available under law.
For monetary claims that are eligible for Conciliation Court and within its jurisdiction, Taxi Minnesota intends to file in Washington County, Minnesota, when personal jurisdiction and venue rules permit. Minnesota Conciliation Court generally hears claims of $20,000 or less, but it cannot hear libel or slander claims or grant injunctions. Venue and claim eligibility depend on the defendant, the claim, and applicable law. Any claim outside Conciliation Court’s jurisdiction or otherwise ineligible must be brought in a court with proper jurisdiction and venue.
This notice is a demand for correction and preservation, not a court finding. Whether a particular company is liable and what relief may be available depend on the evidence and applicable law.
