Rochester offers several commercial transportation options, but connections beyond terminals and hotels still require planning. Check the exact boarding or arrival point before requesting a ride.

Rochester International Airport (RST)

Minneapolis–Saint Paul Airport (MSP)

Long-distance transportation from eligible Olmsted County pickup addresses may be requested for MSP departures. Taxi Minnesota does not accept pickups inside Minneapolis or Saint Paul city limits.

Jefferson Lines / Regional Bus Connections

Rochester has intercity bus connections. Verify the current stop and ticketed boarding location directly with the carrier. Regional bus stations are not necessarily operating 24 hours.

Groome Transportation

Groome operates airport shuttle transportation serving Rochester. If a scheduled shuttle does not reach your final rural destination, any additional ride is a separate booking.

Amtrak & Passenger Rail

Rochester does not have a conventional downtown Amtrak train platform. Travelers may use connecting services involving La Crosse, Wisconsin, or other rail stops. Check the itinerary before arranging transportation. Wisconsin-origin pickups are not accepted by Taxi Minnesota.

Uber & Lyft Availability

Rochester has app-based rideshare options, but driver availability can vary. Smaller communities, late-night locations and longer rural return trips may have fewer nearby drivers.

Is transportation available after 10 PM?

Transportation outside the standard 4 AM to 10 PM service window must be prescheduled and prepaid. Approval depends on driver availability and reservation confirmation.

Can I book an airport pickup at MSP?

Airport transportation requests must comply with the company's authorized Minnesota pickup rules. Pickups inside Minneapolis and Saint Paul city limits are not accepted. Eligible trips from Olmsted County to MSP may be reviewed.

Does submitting a request guarantee a driver?

No. Reservations require acceptance. Travel time, rural distance, driver positioning and road conditions are considered before service is confirmed.

Can I obtain an email quote?

Taxi Minnesota does not issue transportation quotes through email. Please visit the online reservation center and submit the trip details for review.
