Twenty Guests Are Coming
A restaurant has your food ready, but the delivery app cannot assign a driver. Request an independent prearranged pickup.
Your guests are arriving, the catering order is ready, and your food-delivery app cannot find a driver. Maybe you're hosting a family gathering at a vacation home, or your address is just two miles outside a delivery company's normal service area.
Taxi Minnesota offers a separately priced, prearranged pickup option for eligible restaurant meals, catering orders, groceries and ordinary household items.
You choose the store or restaurant, confirm that the order is ready, and submit a pickup request. Service depends on driver availability, route eligibility and acceptance.
This service focuses on eligible Minnesota locations from Taylors Falls through the St. Croix Valley and south to Welch, Red Wing and Lake City.
Restaurants and gig-economy delivery platforms serve many customers, but driver availability, service boundaries and order size can create problems for rural properties and larger gatherings.

The St. Croix and Mississippi river corridors have a long history of moving people, food, merchandise and supplies. Today's independent pickup requests are a modern extension of the region's transportation needs.
Taylors Falls developed along the St. Croix River, where settlement, trade and lumber-related commerce helped shape the community.
Before modern highways, transporting goods depended heavily on waterways and changing overland routes.
Stillwater became an important nineteenth-century lumber and commercial center. Workers, merchants and travelers supported restaurants, stores and other businesses.
Hastings developed at an important river location. Agriculture, river transportation and railroads influenced the movement of goods into and out of the region.
Agriculture, river transportation, tourism and local commerce contributed to the development of communities around Lake Pepin and the Mississippi River.
Today these communities support restaurants, groceries, seasonal visitors and family gatherings.
Digital food ordering allows customers to purchase restaurant meals without visiting the restaurant. But fulfillment still depends on delivery boundaries, available drivers and participating businesses.
A rural home may be a short distance outside a digital delivery zone even though the restaurant is accessible by road.
