Transportation Before Statehood

Minnesota Territory was established in 1849. Early residents and travelers used roads, horses, wagons and Mississippi River transportation.

Historical clarification: In 1851, Minnesota was a United States territory. Statehood began in 1858. A confirmed 1851 operation would belong to Minnesota's territorial history.

The customer can then independently use the transportation provider they have selected.

Customers must book Uber, Lyft, Jefferson Lines, FlixBus, another taxi company, a shuttle or any other connecting transportation service entirely on their own.

Taxi Minnesota will not telephone those companies, obtain their rates, reserve their vehicles, purchase tickets, confirm their availability or manage the customer's connecting reservation.

The customer must independently confirm the price, pickup location, travel schedule, passenger requirements, booking conditions and any additional fees with the chosen provider.
