Qualifying customers may receive 20% off Taxi Minnesota's regular quoted transportation price.

Accessibility Assistance

Tell us if you have a transportation-related accommodation or communication need when submitting your request.

Community Support

Transportation requests may include employment, community programs, shelters, social-service organizations, and other support resources.

Some local rides may be less than $20

For qualifying customers, local in-town transportation may be available for less than $20 in communities where Taxi Minnesota has a local driver available.

  • 20% off the regular quoted transportation rate.

  • No membership fee to request consideration.
  • Transportation remains subject to driver availability.
  • Program rules may differ depending on the referring agency.
Accessibility

People with disabilities are welcome

Taxi Minnesota welcomes customers with disabilities. Tell us what transportation-related assistance you need when submitting your request.

Clear Communication

If you have difficulty reading, hearing, communicating, or completing an online transportation request, tell us what type of communication assistance you need.

Service Animals Welcome

Service animals are welcome in Taxi Minnesota vehicles in accordance with applicable law. There is no additional transportation charge for a qualified service animal.

General Non-Medical Help

Drivers may provide ordinary transportation-related help such as placing a foldable wheelchair, walker, mobility device, luggage, or other reasonable personal items into the vehicle or trunk when they can be safely handled.

Passenger Independence

Passengers enter and exit independently

Taxi Minnesota is a transportation company. We are not a medical, hands-on, or passenger-transfer transportation service.

Independent and voluntary travel

All passengers must be able to enter and exit the vehicle independently and voluntarily, of their own free will.

Drivers do not lift, carry, transfer, restrain, reposition, physically support, steady, or otherwise physically handle passengers.

What drivers can help with

Drivers may provide ordinary, non-medical transportation assistance with personal belongings and equipment.

  • Place a foldable wheelchair in the trunk when it safely fits.
  • Place a foldable transport chair in the trunk.
  • Help load or unload a walker or mobility device.
  • Help with luggage, bags, and personal items.
  • Provide general directions and ordinary transportation help.
Wheelchair Transportation

Wheelchair-accessible vehicles are referred when needed

Taxi Minnesota does not currently operate wheelchair-accessible vehicles in-house.

Foldable mobility equipment

A customer who can independently enter and exit a standard vehicle may travel with a foldable wheelchair, foldable transport chair, walker, or similar mobility device when it can be safely stored in the vehicle.

Drivers may assist with placing the mobility device into or removing it from the trunk. Drivers cannot physically transfer or assist the passenger into or out of the vehicle.

Wheelchair-accessible vehicle required

If you require a wheelchair-accessible vehicle or a vehicle that allows you to remain seated in your wheelchair during transportation, tell us when submitting your request.

When appropriate and available, Taxi Minnesota may refer the request to a provider that is appropriately licensed, certified, or otherwise legally authorized to provide the required transportation service in Minnesota.
Safety & Shelter Transportation

How to ask for help

Submit a transportation request online or email Taxi Minnesota. Tell us that you are requesting transportation related to a shelter, safety concern, or community-support resource.

We will review the request and make a reasonable effort to assist with transportation or connect you with an appropriate transportation resource when possible.
Immediate danger or medical emergency: Taxi Minnesota is not an emergency-response or medical transportation provider. If you are in immediate danger or experiencing a medical emergency, call 911 instead of waiting for a transportation request to be reviewed.
